This $49 product allows for cancellation or change of your flights, FOR ANY REASON, up to 3 hours prior to departure (except for “no shows” and any passengers canceling as a result of denied boarding).
Departure date, gateway or destination changes are permitted under this benefit with no penalties. Name changes are not covered under this benefit. The Pre-Departure Cancellation/Change Waiver is non-transferable and must be re-purchased/reactivated if you want to have coverage on the amended booking. If the change involves a higher air seat price, the passenger will pay the higher amount between the original booking price and the revised booking price at the time of the change. No refund will be given for the difference if the revised air seat price if lower than the original booking price.
A full refund less the cost of the Pre-Departure Cancellation/Change Waiver will be issued when a cancellation is made for any round-trip or one-way air only booking. Please refer to the chart below for complete details on cancellation fees. Sunwing Travel Certificates (Redeemable through any travel agency or Sunwing Vacations) may be used as cash when purchasing a Sunwing Vacation and are valid for one year from the date of cancellation; non-refundable and non-transferable (issued only in the name of the passenger who cancelled). This coverage is not applicable on groups of 12 or more and any refund is less the Pre-Departure Cancellation/Change Waiver cost paid at time of booking.
The Pre-Departure Cancellation/Change Waiver must be purchased on the same day that you book your air only vacation. No voucher will be issued for this benefit. If purchased, the benefit will appear on your e-ticket confirmation.
